AcresOfHonor.com has been in my mind for 3 or 4 years now. It's been a mini project of mine that has been put on the back burner again & again because of any number of reasons. There was always something else more pressing & time slips away & somehow before you know it, it's been a while. My intention was to add still photographs of Punchbowl to a website, thus allowing many people the opportunity to visit the memorial at least online. The beauty of the Internet I feel is the ability it allows in communicating with so many people in so many different ways including photography. Recently, I gained the ability to record photographs in a new 360-degree dimension format that are viewable online.       This website is in honor of those who serve & have served in the military armed forces of these United States Of America defending our freedoms and to those who have paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy in the U.S.A. today. To walk within these acres of honor is not only inspiring, overwhelming & captivating all at once but also sad & somber, serene, peaceful, beautiful & thought provoking about just what is the price of war & peace that lays gently before us...freedom rings among the beautiful trees full of birds singing & the manicured green lawns of Punchbowl Cemetery. The ultimate cost for freedom has been paid for by many American's laid to rest in many other places like Punchbowl Cemetery in Honolulu.

      All the men & women, white, brown, black, green, orange, Baptists, Catholic's, Jew's, Arab's, Atheist's, Democrats, Republications, city people, country folk, all of them in Punchbowl were different in each & every way, except one, they were all American's, true red, white & blue all the way...
